There two kinds of camels

In this world,

Unless you are including

Cigarettes.

 

Just remember

The old-fashioned

Coffee break saying,

“One lump or two.”

 

I admit,

These days we rarely

Buy sugar in lumps,

But when I was young

We either bought it

In lumps or crystal packed bags.

 

Camels come in two types.

Bactrian and Dromedary.

How do you tell the difference?

 

One hump or two!

Bactrian camels

Have two humps.

Think of a capital letter B

On its back.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Think of B for Bactrian.

Think of B as having

Two bumps.

Two humped camels

Are Bactrian camels.

 

Bactrian camels

Are two humped,

Heavy, muscular,

Beasts of burden.

 

Dromedary camels are

One humped

Lighter, faster, smaller, camels

Often used for racing.

 

Think of a capital letter D

On it back.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Think of the D

As having one bump.

Think of a Dromedary Camel

As having one hump.

 

So what kind of camel

Is this one?

 

 

 

 

 

 

Remember our rule:

One hump or two!

Bactrian starts with B.

Dromedary starts with D.

B has two bumps!

D has one bump!

 

If you guessed that

Our cartoon camel

Is a Bactrian camel,

You were right!

Congratulations!

Plus léger, plus rapide, plus petit,

Chameaux oouvent utilisé pour la course.
