Sometimes You Just Gotta Take A Long Walk in the Sunshine.
Sometimes you just gotta take
A long walk
In the sunshine
And thank God for the gifts that he’s bestowed.
Sometimes you just gotta look
Around you
With a fresh set of eyes.
And acknowledge just how well
Just how well
…God has takin’ care of you.
Whether you are amblin’
under a rainbow
Or crunching hail stones
On a cold spring morn
That won’t admit, that won’t admit
That winter has gone
Ya gotta remember
As a Christian
That there’ll be days
When the roses
When the roses aren’t in bloom.
If you know Jesus,
You’ve walked the walk and talked the talk.
If you know Jesus,
ya gotta trust that he loves you,
And that he… will be with you… either way.
He didn’t promise us
that every day would be a stroll
through a rose-scented garden
with a soft, warm breeze
… whis…per…in’ at our backs.
If we serve him
There’ll be good days,
There’ll be bad days.
When you serve him and you trust him
He will always
He will always
He will always make a way.
Jesus will always make a way. (X2)
In 2 Corinthians 11 vs 26 and 27 ESV:
26 I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles, in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea and in danger from false believers.
27 I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep. I have known hunger and thirst and often been without food. I have been cold and naked.
Famous verse from Romans 8, “And we know that all things work out for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.” KJV
Backstory: page 3
On April 18th, 2024, at about 7:30 AM I awoke from a dream. In the dream I had entered a café and was sitting at the counter talking with someone about an interesting dream I had recently had from the Lord. As I was drinking a malt, C. L. entered the facility and was pushing a wheelchair. In the wheelchair was a friend of hers whom had just found out that they were dying. Carrie, and the group she was with, were very sad.
The scene changed and I was watching someone walking through the rain. They were wondering out loud how Jesus could have let them down. The person I was watching was hunched over and bundled in bulky clothes with their hair under a cap. I couldn’t tell if the person was a man or woman, and their voice was thick and raspy. Suddenly I heard a male tenor voice begin singing the song. When I woke up a wrote down the first line or two and the other lines came to me as I wrote it in the space of a few minutes. Two bible verses popped into mind as I walked from my bedroom to my computer and opened up the Audacity Recording Program and my word processing program.
