Do you desire God’s blessing?

 

Do not seek advice

from worldly pagans.

 

Do not sit at the feet

of fleshly

intellectual religious pontificators.

 

Do not emulate

the ways

of those who

are exhibiting sinful behavior.

 

Do not follow

scorners and mockers

lest you become like them.

 

Seek the Lord daily.

Study His word.

Don’t just read about it

and forget it.

 

Meditate on it

throughout your day.

 

Think upon it

during your night seasons.

 

Look for ways

that your scripture reading

applies to what you see

around you

or affects decisions you need to make.

 

Desire a relationship with Jesus 24 – 7.

Do not let your service to Him

be an intellectual exercise

of empty ritual

that merely acknowledges God.

 

Do these things

and you will be like

a mighty oak

that grows near a river.

 

You will bear fruit.

Even during trying times

you will flourish.

 

Wicked men and women

do not have this gift.

 

Either they will become

possessed by their idols

or they will appear beautiful

on the outside

while rotting away inside.

 

Evil people are like debris

blown before the wind.

 

In the end

they will lose

all that matters to them.

 

Pagans will not inherit

the blessings of Heaven.

Sinners will not join

the fellowship of the righteous.

When the righteous die

they will die in the Lord.

When the wicked die

they will perish.
