As for Me and My House
I promised him I would pray about it. If I get any good songs they come from dreams, not what I write myself. I seemed to get permission, following that prayer, to use the instrumental music disk (KARAOKE HITS VOLUME 25) as background music for more Christian Rap songs. The disk was especially made for limited use Karaoke events.
The impression I received, following prayer, if I understood it correctly,was that it would acceptable. While it would be a great way to spend quality time with Jesus, writing and singing a Christian Rap Song album wasn’t exactly what I had been called to do, especially more than occasionally. The song is loosely based on scriptures from the Book of Joshua and the Book of Acts.

To confirm that family’s place

Joshua …challenged …the believers of his day,
To serve God instead of idols.
Today a call is ringing,
A holy effulgent echo,
Through the Stygian (y is a small i sound) darkness …of contemporary earth.
Turn away from the idols
Of this modern fallen world.
Turn away from the old small gee gods.
See them in their truest form.
Do not fall for their
Cosmetically enhanced disguises!
Reject their beautifully repackaged ancient lies.
Turn away
From their deceptive siren’s call.
Turn instead and follow Jesus Christ
Our all in all,
Unique Son, of the Most High God.
Reject and do not serve,
The proud small gee prince of this dark and fallen world!
