The back story for the song. Ken (pic below) drove me to a convention.  He said after meeting a friend, “I am sorry Wayne but that man is a pompous ass!”  My reply was  “I can’t disagree with your assessment but that said, you  have a pompous ass garment (P.A.G.) hanging in your closet and you get it out and wear it from time to time. It is probably the same for my friend.”  While Ken humbly takes the song and story in stride, his family, including his son-in-law Brent, find both absolutely hilarious.  Ken like all of us has his moments, but if you take into account both character and a willingness to boldly follow Jesus, no matter what the cost, he best exemplifies Christian brotherhood at its finest.  If you know him, give him a holler and encourage him in his faith!
