An acquaintance of mine Lou Comunale, made an intriguing statement in an recent Facebook post about the vacuum that would be left when the US is destroyed, which would mean it can’t be Mystery Babylon.

Back in 2001 I had been asking for the Lord for insight about Mystery Babylon and why so many different scholars seemed to come up with different identities about the true identity of Mystery Babylon.

After that I had a quick inner vision and received distinct impressions concerning the topics of Spiritual Babylon and Mystery Babylon. In the vision I saw an Octopus hiding in a reef snaking out its arms to catch fish.

Recently I have seen a short vision of Satan playing a shell game interchanging different assets when using the “daughters of Babylon” to strengthen his kingdom across time which seems to be a part of the information I have been given concerning the Spirit of Babylon.

Back when I had the initial vision in 2001 I heard a few phrases but some things came as impressions.  Lou’s statement seems to go along with what I had been shown.  One of the phrases that I remember hearing was “You need to look beyond mystery Babylon and see the Spirit of Babylon to understand what is happening.”   If I understood the impressions, one of the mysteries of Mystery Babylon, is that there is a time line involved and over the centuries the Spirit of Babylon uses different “daughters of Babylon” from snake cults, to world powers, to the Illuminati, Satanic, Pagan/mystery schools and both Protestant and Catholic groups to prepare for the dark kingdom take-over the earth.

If the time was not right God would stop it.  Following are just two examples of the Lord’s intervention.

 

• Back in 1785 Professor Adam Weishaupt, founder of the Bavarian Illuminati, sent a courier with documents pertaining to his secret society. That horse and rider was struck down by God with a lightning bolt. Within the papers were treasonous materials which lead that Bavarian king to start a manhunt for all involved who were plotting to overthrow all the royal kingdoms in Europe.

 

• At the end of WW2 God gave victory to the allied powers and Hitler was stopped from bring the dark golden age at that time.

 

 

Chuck Misslers’ article, THE MOST IMPORTANT CITY IN IRAQ, says that the original Babylon fell but was never destroyed in the exact way the Bible portrays.  Dr. Missler opines that as his friend Tim LaHaye has said, that the United Nations has expressed interest in moving there.

Saddam Hussein started rebuilding the city of Ancient Babylon, but was unable to finish that project.  If the UN does purchase the property I expect they will continue to rebuild it. Talking about important scriptural locations, what is one of the primary goals of the Antichrist?  Conquering Jerusalem.  That being the case, although I don’t know if it fits the Mystery Babylon requirements  it would seem logical that when the Antichrist does take over there, that Mystery Babylon would move there as well.  I discuss the mobility aspect of Mystery Babylon in my paper Mystery Babylon and Spiritual Babylon which has been published in my books Waysides along the Journey:  Spiritual Wisdom & Adventures in Literature and Kingdom Lessons. In their book Portals of the Immortals, Tom Horn and Chris Putnam, wrote on page 204, concerning a claim by researcher Michael Salla, that there may be an interdimensional portal buried at Babylon which in the end times will be used to release gods.  Gods with a small g may include dark kingdom entities such as archons, giants, demons, satyrs or chimeras.

 

The Septuagint version of Isaiah 13, for example, says “giants,” while most other translations say “mighty ones.”  Note that the Septuagint or the Greek version of the 70 scholars, was what was often read during the time of Jesus and his disciples.

13:1 ¶ THE VISION WHICH ISAIAH{gr.ESAIAS} SON OF AMOS SAW AGAINST BABYLON.

13:2 Lift up a standard on the mountain of the plain, exalt the voice to them, beckon with the hand, open [the gates], ye rulers.

13:3 I give command, and I bring them: giants are coming to fulfil my wrath, rejoicing at the same time and insulting.

 

If literal Babylon is rebuilt it would seem that it too might be destroyed before the final End Times, once again creating a vacuum, where Mystery Babylon must be moved yet again to another physical location. So literal Babylon may be restored, but will it be the final geographical location of Mystery Babylon? Because of its proximity to the Euphrates and the chained fallen angels that must be released, I expect that the area is vitally important to the final days of the end times.  But will it be the last Mystery Babylon on the time line?  I don’t think so. While I am unsure of the exact physical location of the final Mystery Babylon, I do hold expectations concerning its dark kingdom spiritual power structure. My position is that the Vatican and the world wide council of churches, including an apostate mix of Catholics, Protestants, Pagans, Islamists, Satanists, Mystery Religionists and other cultists will be part of that last Mystery Babylon that prepares the world for the actual End Times Fallen Angel religion which will be used by the Antichrist.

I have friends who say that Jesus must use the church so we cannot meet underground or outside of traditional denominational institutions. Paul wrote in 2^nd Thessalonians that Jesus will not return until there is a falling away. This unfolding mystery religion is subtly taking over many denominations causing countless Christians to be deceived.  If there is an “alien” disclosure many nominal Christians will become even more confused to the point of spiritual shipwreck.   Unless one is blinded, I think it is pretty obvious that whether you are a Catholic or a Protestant that the time is coming when you will have to flee the traditional denomination of your choice and make changes in your present “doctrine.” You will be forced to evacuate or submit to a local body that will do anything, from spiritual compromise to throwing its pew warmers to captivity or death, in order to keep its tax exempt status and keep the utilities going and the show rolling. Or even if they lose that precious tax exempt status they will be more than willing to trade other “stubborn” Christians for the right to merely survive.

More importantly, the Church of Jesus is not a building or a denomination or even Protestant or Catholic, they are a globally scattered group of believers who are not name-only Christians.  They are Saints of Jesus Christ who are united by the Holy Spirit.  I wrote in Final Piece of the Puzzle that in a long vision in 1989, when the Lord talked to me about End Times events, that here in America that most of the traditional churches would one day become deceived.  They would persecute those who would not bow to the spiritual deception that would come to over-take what is called “the church.”   I am more convinced today than ever before that this is true.  We can expect that the pagans will persecute Christians who have a genuine relationship with Jesus.   However, most deny that the day is coming when “Christians” in the traditional spiritually blinded churches will persecute the genuine Christians who have a relationship with Jesus and do not accept the new (but very ancient) mystery religion that is in the process of hijacking “the church.”  This weekend I read a book entitled Blood on the Alter: the coming war of Christian verses Christian, written by Thomas Horn.  This book’s premise declares the same thing that Jesus warned me about in the long vision I had in 1989, that a war is coming where deceived “Christians” will persecute other Christians, selling them out to captivity and death, and think they are doing Jesus a favor!

Back to my topic of Mystery Babylon Revisited. Another interesting point is that Revelation 18 seems to require deep water ports.  The actual Babylon doesn’t have a deep water port nor does Rome, but I believe Jerusalem has Haifa as a major sea port. Mediterranean and Asian and European seas have such ports but then one must check whether these areas fulfill the necessary requirements for being Mystery Babylon or a “daughter of Babylon,” keeping in mind the “time line” factor.

Gary Wayne, in his book, Genesis 6 Conspiracy, sees Rome becoming the new financial power for the Antichrist.  He does not mention the need for deep water ports and believes that America is not Mystery Babylon, but following a world financial crash that the Lord will empower the Vatican to become the new financial superpower. He opines that Rome then is destroyed.  From my perspective, I see America as the present Mystery Babylon, but I do see how it may be possible that the Antichrist could very well use the Vatican as another manifestation of Mystery Babylon, and restore, at least temporarily, the formerly tanked economy.

 

• Rev 18:17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
• Rev 18:18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
• Rev 18:19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

 

If I understood the Octopus vision, one of the mysteries of Mystery Babylon, is that there is actually a time line, and over time the daughters of Babylon rise and fall.  It is as if the Spirit of Babylon has been playing a shell game over the centuries and we have posited various identities for Mystery Babylon.  The Devil will let some assets simmer in a century and bring other assets to a boil.  That is to say the enemy will use some assets extensively and others not so much during a given century.

 

I believe that one of the prominent daughters now is the US, but it cannot be the one that is the final mystery Babylon on the time line.  Or if you want to say that the United States is Mystery Babylon that could be said as well. I think Richard Coombs, who wrote America Babylon, had 65 verses pointing to America as Babylon. I agree with his position except that I believe that the Lord has shown me that mystery Babylon fluctuates as to its location depending on where it happens to be on the time line at any given point in history.  I posit that one of the reasons the US has to be removed is so that the final mystery Babylon will come into full power.  So yes I see the US as mystery Babylon but only in a temporary sense or technically one of the lead daughters of the spirit of Babylon.

 SPIRITUAL BABYLON & MYSTERY BABYLON

 

 

 

Introductory Remarks

 

The topic I am presenting is a very controversial one. What makes it more controversial for me is that I subscribe to a theory that not only flies in the face of conventional teaching, but also fails to align strictly with the other models in circulation today. To some this topic is one of utmost importance; to others it is just one more foolish conspiracy theory. I think a middle of the road stance would be best. Teaching on salvation, daily walk, or one-anothering techniques should take precedence over eschatological presentations.

 

Each of us probably know teachers or students who major on the minors by focusing too intently on end times studies to the extent that they neglect more important material. That said, I expect that most people are in denial, simply don’t care or go in the opposite extreme and get caught up in fear when thinking about issues such as Mystery Babylon, The Antichrist, The New World Order, and other end times, prophetic, or Book of Revelation topics. Jesus said — and Mark 13 is one example — that even though we cannot know the hour of His return that we are responsible to be aware of the Biblical seasons that foreshadow His return.

 

Have you ever wondered why there are so many eschatological theories? Or why there are so many theories about the identity of Mystery Babylon? Or how numerous Bible teachers, all with different ideas, can be so convincing? I wondered about these questions, and more, for decades.

 

Then one morning while I was living in Almena, Wisconsin, I woke up early and spent time with the Lord. Suddenly I had a great deal of information that I hadn’t had a few minutes before. Information about Mystery Babylon.

 

Who is Mystery Babylon?

• THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
• THE VATICAN
• A MIDDLE EASTERN OR EUROPEAN ANTICHRIST
• MUSLIMS
• DEVIL WORSHIPPERS OR CULTISTS
• PAGAN CULTS
• THE SHADOW GOVERNMENT
• SECRET SOCIETIES
• THE ONE WORLD RELIGION
• ALIENS
• ?

 

Whether it is one from this list, not from this list, or a combination, the point is almost moot. The same holds true if we are looking for the Antichrist. The puppeteer behind it all is Satan, and while many dark scenarios will unfold before Jesus returns, we as Christians may be sure of one thing: Jesus will return as Lord of Lords and King of Kings when the Father says it is time.

 

Recently, many years after the aforementioned epiphany, I was considering the fact that I have friends, or teachers I have read, who have very passionate and differing views concerning the identity of Mystery Babylon. Each one is able to lay out a pretty convincing scenario replete with scriptural references. Why such a variety? Much like Jeremiah asked, “Why do the wicked prosper?” I asked, “Why are so many teachers able to produce so much evidence for more than one Antichrist or Babylon?”

 

While at times it may be a case of simple ignorance or false teaching, my guess is that in many cases we actually have a blind men and elephants situation. Each “blind man” is actually giving a great teaching about certain sections of the elephant, but not seeing the whole elephant. Or, more importantly, they see the whole elephant but miss the guy in the howdah directing said pachyderm.

 

 

Dave Dyer and Richard Coombs both believe that Babylon is America. Dr. Cuddy believes that only the city of New York qualifies to be Babylon. Chuck Missler teaches that Babylon is the Vatican. Others have opined that Ancient Babylon has been reborn in modern times and that it and it alone is Babylon. Some have said that Rome, the European Union, the United Nations, the World Council of Churches, various world religions, pagan or Satanic cults, mystery lodges, Islam, the International Banksters, the Shadow Government, or some combination of the aforementioned groups comprise the real Mystery Babylon.

 

Incidentally, while little by little, more Bible teachers are coming into agreement that America or New York is future Babylon, most see her destruction being from a nuclear attack from conventional enemies. Richard Coombs believes that if the ancient Hebrew texts are properly interpreted (for more info read America the Babylon, chapter 7, p 79) that the attackers will come from outer space and be aliens or nephilim.

“For behold, I will incite to come down from above onto Babylon, an assembled group of the Ancient Anakim…the aliens/foreigners who come down from a planet in outer space, from the northern quarter of the heavens.”

 

Other Bible teachers like Chuck Missler have a more conventional view concerning the identity of the attackers of future Babylon, but believe the Anakim and fallen angels are indeed involved in last days events. See Return of the Nephilim and Alien Encounters published by K-house Ministries.

 

While some teachings may be simply the result of error and scriptural shoehorning, we can’t simply fall back on this excuse to ignore unconventional theories. Many teachers have done their homework and provide very sound teaching, yet the results are quite diverse!

 

 

Here is one verse often used as a proof text taken from a section of scripture that refers to Babylon. Jeremiah 51:13. “O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come and the measure of thy covetousness.”

 

By itself this verse is very ambiguous. Depending on which camp you ascribe to, it is easy to fill in your body of water or waters of choice. If you present America as Babylon, then you could use the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean, the Mississippi River and countless other lakes and streams of America’s interior as the fulfillment of this prophecy. If you believe that Iraq is Babylon you would input the Tigris and Euphrates rivers as well as the Caspian, Persian, Black and Mediterranean seas as the “many waters” that fulfill prophecy. No deep water port however in Iraq; but that is another prophetic element from a different verse. Coombs, for example writes that there are at least 65 points of scripture, in addition to the many waters reference, that point to America as the identity of Mystery Babylon.

 

Not denigrating Coombs theory, here is another way of looking at this verse (Jer.51:13) and coming up with yet a different perspective on the many waters prophecy. Do you remember the old saying that “the sun never sets on the British Empire?” And no, I’m not saying that the British Empire is Mystery Babylon! However, the land masses of the entire world sit on many waters, and the principalities and powers command structure of the Dark Kingdom that control these lands, are always greedy and seek to utilize its treasures to their fullest extent for their dark master.

 

My point is that the Spirit of Babylon is much grander in scope than Mystery Babylon, but like the head of the mythological hydra is connected to the body of the hydra, Mystery Babylon is really an extension of the Spirit of Babylon. Like the hydra, the Spirit of Babylon has many heads or “daughters.”

 

I believe that the Spirit of Babylon is actually very complex and much larger than most of us realize. We tend to focus on the tool being utilized and miss the wielder. My guess is that while Mystery Babylon prophecies when taken as a whole may represent one entity, that in fact, it may differ according to time period, and that certain sections of scripture may actually refer to more than one “tool,” or as I prefer to call them, “Daughters of Babylon.”

 

Or you may prefer to say that such prophecies may have multiple fulfillments.

 

Notes on the Diagram

 

 

The yellow circle represents the Spirit of Babylon, and the entities behind it, which have stayed the same, from the time it first appeared on Earth, and will, until its demise, when the Lord finally disposes of it. The entities behind the Spirit of Babylon are Satan and the demons under his control that maintain the principalities and powers command structure of the Dark Kingdom.

 

Think of the Spirit of Babylon as a huge octopus, hidden in a coral reef, with only its tentacles, camouflaged against the reef, reaching out into the sea, each arm occupying a different section of sea water, waiting for a fish dinner to swim by. Spiritual Babylon, like the octopus, has its tentacles positioned in many places, seeking to control and influence Earth for its master. Mystery Babylon is the present physical manifestation or manifestations of Spiritual Babylon. Mystery Babylon is also the Queen of Heaven.

 

The green circle represents the physical representation of the Spirit of Babylon (Mystery Babylon) through the ages, on the Earth, which has changed throughout the centuries.

 

Note that it has many segments but also a whole. The whole green sphere is the Whore of Babylon (which is the false religious system, with political and economic elements, which seeks the control and spiritual subjugation if mankind) and the individual pie slices represent actual spheres of influence, control, and assets of Mystery Babylon in the physical realm. The colored rectangles represent the actual daughters of Babylon who are responsible to Satan to control the Earth through force, deceit, or any means necessary, to maintain control of the world and promote direct or indirect service to Satan. The false religious system in all of its guises– shadow governments, cults, secret societies, ad infinitum — is just part of the network.

There may be more rectangles than I have placed in the diagram as there may be many minor daughters of Babylon.

 

Keep in mind that through the ages that changes occurred that effected or were affected by Mystery Babylon. Scholars through the centuries have opined several different identities for future Babylon (or the Mystery Babylon of their current time frame) based on scripture and their interpretation of world events. Certain assets that were useful during one century may no longer be useful during the next. As far as the whole of Spiritual Babylon, or Future Babylon there are many scriptures that when added together provide many individual puzzle pieces that offer clues to the identity of Mystery Babylon at the time of the end.

 

I believe that one of the reasons that scholars through the centuries have opined several different identities for future Babylon is that they have not taken chronological time into account. Of course there is also the tendency to arrange scriptural and historical clues in a way that “confirms” ones doctrinal preference. Either way, the time factor is important because during some centuries the lead daughter of Babylon has changed.

 

If one looks at all of the prophecies concerning future Babylon, even strong contenders are eliminated – or so it may seem. One minor reason for confusion concerning the identity of future Babylon is simply that not all of the prophecies are taken into account or one eliminates certain prophecies in order to fit a certain doctrine or belief system concerning Mystery Babylon.

 

However, since the Babylonian Mystery Religion is the vanguard of the entire Spiritual Babylon, it is only logical that one will be able to find at least traces, if not exact duplications of its philosophies and activities, through the ages, in all of its daughters. For example, the Catholic Church and various secret societies, have obvious links to the original mystery religion, even though it should also be obvious that through time these and other “daughters” of Babylon have waxed and waned in power and influence.

 

During the middle ages it seems fairly obvious that the lead daughter was the Catholic Church. It had great power, wealth and numerous assets could raise huge armies or place or remove kings and queens as it willed. I believe the Catholic Church still has power and influence today, but because we are nearing the time of the end, and the secret societies are realizing their goals for achieving a one world government, and one world religion, that the Catholic church has lost its lead position.

 

There is also a possibility that two daughters, the Catholic Church and the Fatima Worshippers of Islam could join forces, edging out the New World Order/International Banksters. Or maybe another consortium, allied with the One World Religion, will win the day. Truthfully, I think we are entering a time of flux. I believe that as a part of the chaos of the times we live in today, that many “daughters” will rise and fall and countless alliances will be forged and broken. I have read of many authors sharing their takes on the who, what and when of the New World Order. None seem to take into account that different factions in the order cooperate one day and fight for position the on the next. It is written that if the Lord would not return soon that the coming destruction would be so terrible that it would destroy everyone. Satan desires to wipe out every human, especially those dear to our Lord Jesus Christ. New World Order engineers want to use wars, famines and plagues to drop the world population to “a more manageable level.” Ordo ob chaos. Order out of Chaos. It’s all just part of the show.

 

But what isn’t as obvious is that the different factions within this “order” are also victims of the chaos, much in the same way a child may be abused, and then grow up to become an abuser. Much in the same way that there will be wars and rumors of wars, and many antichrists (small a), but the time is not yet, over time there have been many babylons (small b).

 

The End Is Near. Some fear the One World Order – if you don’t take the mark you will die. Some say, “No! It’s fanatical Muslims – if you don’t convert or pay the Jizya tax, you’ll be beheaded.” Others cry, “Aliens and Giant Monster Men are going to cannibalize us, sport with our women, and commit unspeakable experiments on our children!” Don’t be surprised if, before Jesus returns, such wildly implausible events happen at a location near you! On the other hand, don’t be surprised if some gloom and doom scenarios end up being more bark than bite.

 

The one thing I can cling to, as I think upon the chaos that is about to start, is that Jesus is real, and He will return when the Father says it is time. Without that blessed hope, humans would have about as much chance to survive, as a snowball remaining intact, in the midst of an active volcano.

 

Keep in mind that the enemy of our souls has no problem preparing multiple daughters or tools, and then pitting them one against the other, especially if they have taken a pretty thorough whack at the general population. Or that like a good stage magician, he may wave a tool in one hand, while secretly using a tool in the other, while we are distracted. My point is that while we may be fixated on one tool, whether we are watching in the natural or making a conclusion based on certain passages of scripture, we must keep in mind that Satan is the master puppeteer behind Mystery Babylon. Never forget that while this is true, that out Lord Jesus Christ is infinitely more powerful, and that if the enemy does gain any victories, that such wins are only temporary!

 

 

Who is Mystery Babylon? Who is the lead daughter? Who are the other daughters?

 

Zechariah 5:5 – 5:11 NIV

 

5 Then the angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to me, “Look up and see what this is that is appearing.”

 

6 I asked, “What is it?”

 

7 Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman!

 

8 He said, ”This is wickedness” and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed the lead cover down over its mouth.

 

9 Then I looked up-and there before me were two women, with the wind in their wings! They had wings like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth.

 

10 “Where are they taking the basket?” I asked the angel who was speaking to me.

 

11 He replied, “To the country of Babylonia to build a house for it. When it is ready, the basket will be set there in place.”

 

I believe that Mystery Babylon influences people to sin and seeks to control mankind for Satan. Whether the scripture portion listed above is actually referring to Mystery Babylon or not, it provides a good word picture of the concepts of Spiritual Babylon that is pure evil, combines physical and spiritual elements, and can be transported to various physical seats of power around the globe.

 

I cannot say with exactitude who the lead daughter is at this time. The earth is in a time of flux and only the Lord truly knows. I cannot say that America is currently the lead daughter of Mystery Babylon, but it does fulfill a number of prophecies!

 

 

Whether or not they succeed many secret societies recognize that their base is in Washington, D.C. and that The White House was the name of one of the main temples of the original Babylon.

 

Richard Coombs says, in America the Babylon, in a discussion concerning the Pantheon and the U.S. Capital, “All this is in accordance with Freemasonry’s “mystery doctrine” of the sun-god Utu. Who, by the way, had as his chief temple in Babylonia named “The White House.” Yes, the sun-god Utu’s temple was called: The White House. The inner circle of the Mormon Church, since its onset, has believed that one day it is destined to rule the earth from a temple near the present state of government in the United States.

 

Even if America is the lead daughter of Babylon at this time, will it still be the lead daughter or a prominent daughter of Babylon, when Jesus returns. Probably not. Jesus knows. If America does fall within one hour, as the Bible, and Bible teachers like Dave Dyer and Richard Coombs predict, my opinion is that Spiritual Babylon will fly away again, and another daughter will take the lead position of Mystery Babylon.

 

Talking about America, I do believe that something is going to happen before Jesus returns, which humbles its people, which indeed would take them out of the picture as a lead daughter – leaving many “daughters” of Babylon, some of them minor players and some not so minor, to fill any apparent vacuum. Whatever daughter or daughters of Babylon combination becomes the final last days “Babylon,” it is but a shadow-play of smoke and mirrors, because the Enemy of Our Souls, is the mastermind behind it all.

 

Not only that, but apparently Babylon is destroyed in one hour by fire according to scripture, and yet, that is not the end; there are still wars, rumor of wars, signs in the heavens, an Antichrist (another mystery) and global chaos that reigns before Jesus comes back to reign. More importantly, the mortal enemy, even though a mastermind, will not defeat our Master, the Lord Jesus Christ.

I am curious about C.O.G. C.O.G. is the Continuance of Government program that is in place, here in the United States, if there is a national calamity. I believe that such a disaster is coming. I wonder if the Lord will allow C.O.G to reactivate the nation.
